Subject: confusion over broken build

For the last N days, I have been unable to build a debug build under
Linux. Does tinderbox build debug or regular? The build fails in the
src/wp/impexp/xp/ directory because of some include files that just
don't exist, except perhaps for the person working in that area. The
including of those files is surrounded by #ifdef DEBUG. I had
imagined that most people doing development were doing debug builds.
Am I mis-assuming? If you are doing a debug build on Linux, how are
you doing it? (FWIW, I'm on Mandrake 7.1.)
