Martin,
Please commit all of this to CVS head. I'd really like to build 0.7.12 off
of that anyway. It's more stable and "featureful" than the 0.7.12 branch,
IMO. Plus there have been some harmless Gnome UI things that really make Abi
look nice that I think should go in.
I'll test your code against all of the footer docs I have (977.doc in the
wp/test/bugs/ dir is a good example)
