Hi, I'm new on this list...
First I would like to know how to compile with gnome support!
And secondly I would like to know what the future of spellchecking
is like...since I would like t to work a little different than that of Word.
I would like spellerrors to be marked with a red wave
I would like grammar errors to be marked with a green wave
And I would like foreign words to be marked with a orange/yellow wave.
The reason for the last one is as follows: In Danish it is often allowed to
use foreign words with the original pronouncation + spelling, but often
we also make eighter another word or just another spelling. For instance
in Danish you can write "domain", but eventhough domain is allowed, it
would be prefered if people wrote "domæne".
We have a lot of these words (just to name a few, might not be the best):
windowsmanager - vindueshåndtering
download - nedlæs
check - tjek
tackle - takle
document - dokument
theme - tema
compile - kompilerer
team - hold
upgrade - opgradering
text - tekst
cursor - markør
ex. - eks.
website - webside
index - indeks
But this will probably require some kind of replacement for ispell.
What is the plan for spellchecking at the moment?
