Well looks like it's not high byte range :) but LO byte. In your test file there is a 1E hex and this is old ascii controll char, not valid I think in XML, ..sdgb.. oups the snow fell of the roof and scared me :) ... as I said, it could be esc as &x001e; on export.

I see what I can do before I leave for 4 weeks. Can you post a word file, since I think this should be solved at export.
