This is part of bug #823,
http://www.abisource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=823 I am sure there is
more to the story, but #823 was the obvious one that I picked up on.
Getting that fixed will allow me to dig for even more obscure end of line
cursor oddities if necessary.
