I don't really know the answer to this specific question. When I
installed Mandrake (clean, not an upgrade), I had plenty of disk
space, so I did the "install everything you can think of" option.
And, of course, I installed all the pre-reqs called for on the
how-to-build-Abi page. I don't recall ever having a complaint from
AbiWord about missing stdc++. I typically build with ABI_OPT_DEBUG
and ABI_OPT_GNOME, but I know I've done at least the non-debug version
on this machine a time or two. Here's the stdc++ goop from my
/usr/lib/:
