try Open Office http://www.openoffice.org
or even the Star Office 6 beta, StarOffice 5.2 is getting quite old
already.

i mean Abiword is the best word processor ever i would never dream of
using anything eles :)
i think this feature is planned and actually in progress but wont make
it into v1.0 so maybe it will be in by v1.2

or wait until a developer can spare the time to give you a better

voting on this bug might help too (although this bug seems to have
aquired a substantial amount of votes since i last suggested people
voted it, in fact it has come out of nowhere to be the second most voted
for feature)
