perl bindings problem on FreeBSD

Subject: perl bindings problem on FreeBSD

I attach an email I have just received. There seems to be some
problem compiling Perl bindings on FreeBSD -- it has to do with
the bool type, which I understand from the sources is a known
issue, but I am not sure what one needs to do to get around this.
Could someone who knows please reply to the email's sender;
thanks.

Tomas
