Reality check...

I don't want to seem like a heretic, but I don't think even a perfect
implementation of the feature set in the 1.0 list will blow too many
socks off too many feet. If you look at AbiWord on any given platform
and in any given locale, you'll see "a nice little WP that has a lot
of potential and is coming along nicely".

People on this list are platform junkies, and there are a fair number
of locale junkies in the development community. Among church
secretaries, all they really want is an application that works great
for their normal locale on their one and only platform. They want
features (not tons and tons of features, either; just their
favorites).

I have always looked at the 1.0 feature set as a benchmark for
"minimally useful" (and implied "very stable"), and not as "blow your
socks off".
