I was just shortening it for convenience in typing my email response to you. I
want to mention both GNU and Free Software in this menu item.

AbiWord is part of Gnome Office. However, most people on non-gnome platforms
couldn't care about gnome office, and the menu item would not be appreciated. I
don't see the need for this advertizing blurb on any build except for the Gnome
one. If the rest of Gnome Office starts to run on Win32, Be, MacOS, or QNX, then
I guess that my opinion might change. Also, I don't believe that everyone
running Gnome will know what Gnome Office is, or they might want an easy link to
 go see the progress of the project (which is about to get a boost from me
shortly...)
