OK folks, I've got sick kids to deal with, so here's as far as I got on the
recruiting front. If 0.9.3 gets held for more than a few days, I may be
able to help out some more, but no earlier than that.

In the mean time, here's the team of folks who've volunteered so far to help
with the release. If you want to see any other 0.9.3 packages released for
your platform of choice, you know what to do ...

Win32 (setup.exe)
-----------------
packagers... Nikolaj Brandt Jensen, Tim LaDuca
  testers... Randy Kramer, Alan Keefer
  evangelists... (none)

** releasable -- we can have clean packages, but nobody will know **

Slackware 8
-----------
  packagers... JAL
  testers... Michael D. Crawford
  evangelists... (none)

** releasable -- to evangelize, where do Slackware folks hang out? **

Linux/Intel (various)
---------------------
packagers... Sam TH (Debian), Tim LaDuca
  testers... Alan Keefer (Mandrake 8)
  evangelists... (none)

** releasable -- I'm utterly unclear on who's building and testing which
packaging flavors, but that's up to the GNOME & GTK maintainers to
     sort out **

Linux/PPC
---------
  packagers... (none)
  testers... (none)
  evangelists... (none)

** no team, no release **

FreeBSD
-------
  packagers... (none)
  testers... (none)
  evangelists... (none)

** no team, no release **

QNX

---
  packagers... (none)
  testers... (none)
  evangelists... (none)

** no team, no release **

BeOS ---- packagers... (none) testers... Michael D. Crawford evangelists... (none)

** no release, unless a packager emerges, and the package works as advertised **

bottom line ----------- It looks like we're in pretty good shape for 0.9.3 Windows and Slackware packages, and I assume that the usual suspects can sort out the "other" Linux/Intel packages. I'd love to see other packages created, but so far nobody's explicitly stepped up to do the necessary two-step package and test process.

Thus, at this point, we should only expect a few verified 0.9.3 packages. If that's not acceptable, now's the time to propose other solutions.

Finally, my apologies if I missed anyone who's already volunteered. If so, please update this thread accordingly.

Thanks!

Paul, aka Daddy
