I can confirm that this is the behavior on Win32 systems. When AbiWord is
open, even with an empty document, it consumes 100% of system idle process
as a result, the CPU indicates 100% usage. General system performance for
the user doesn't seem to be impacted. AbiWord readily gives up these idle
processes to other programs.
