IMPORTANT: tag and branch

    Hi all,

    I'd like to tag and branch the tree to start the abi-1.2-dev branch so
    that we can start working on it.

    That means that all the changes for 1.0.1 must be committed to the
    abi-1.0-stable branch that will not be the default branch: one shall
    check out a new tree with the branch tag to get and commit in it.

    NOTE: tag named are not set yet, they will change
    NOTE2: instruction for CVS use will be posted soon, before the
    effective branching
    NOTE3: if you have a strong opposition against branch, say it now, or
    remain silent :-)

    Schedule is: branch by 11:59 PM CEST (Lille time) = 2159 GMT.
