abiword and de_DE locale

Hi there,

When locale is set to de_DE, I suffer the following problem(Seems
en_IE.ISO-8859-1 has the same problem).

$ LANG=de_DE abiword

**** (1) Assert ****
**** (1) a[1] && *a[1] at xap_Strings.cpp:348 ****
**** (1) Continue ? (y/n) [y] :

And if I say Y, abiword started off but menus looks like "amp;Datei"
or "amp;Bearbeiten". Extra "amp;"s appear.

I'm not sure it's abiword problem (possibly glibc), though...

I'm using cvs source(sync'd today) on Debian GNU/Linux. glibc is
2.4.4.
