Yes, it was more a "the idea should be to..." comment.
Plug-ins would have to maintain their own state, access the piecetable
and undo buffer in a structured way, subscribe to all kinds of events.
Right, not an afternoon hack :-)
But it would be super-cool, and maybe something to keep in mind when
the the engine is re-written(?) post 1.0 for table support.
It would probably be easier to get people to write useful things if
they could do it without having to be AbiWord code experts, and work
to the high standards necessary to get stuff into CVS, just to try
things out.
