    By testing Wine with Open Source windows applications, it makes it easier to
    find problems with Wine whose fixes would make all Windows applications work
    better under Linux.

    The reason is that you have the source to see what it's trying to do with the
    Win32 API, and the developers are more likely to be more open about how their
    application works than the developers of a proprietary application.

    Of course most Linux users will want to use the Linux-native version of AbiWord.
      But AbiWord's Windows version is complex and rich enough to be quite a good
    test of wine.
