We are pleased to announce the release of libwpd 0.4.0. This
release marks a milestone in libwpd development: the library
now reads more files than ever before and does a much better
job doing so (even on the toughest-to-parse documents). libwpd
now supports lists/outlining, for structured presentation/editing
    of hierarchical data.

We would like to thank everyone who sent in documents for testing:
your input helped us make this "the bestest libwpd ever".

Source and more information is available at http://libwpd.sf.net

    Sincerely,

The libwpd maintainers: William Lachance and Marc Maurer

libwpd is a library designed to help in the process of interpreting
WordPerfect documents. It is focused on the needs of next-generation
word processors (such as AbiWord and OpenOffice.org's OpenWriter).

libwpd is used in the development versions of AbiWord (what will become
AbiWord 2.0). A stand-alone utility based on libwpd, wpd2sxw, is
available now for converting WordPerfect documents to OpenOffice.org's
XML-based file format (watch for an easily installable OpenOffice.org
    filter component soon).
