Not that it's much help, I can reproduce w/ cvs-head on WinXP. It only
occurs when the cursor is visible. If cursor blink is enabled and you
hit enter while the black line of the cursor is in the "not visible"
portion of the blink, it doesn't generate dirt. If you hit enter while
the black line is visible, the pixeldirt occurs.
If you turn off cursor blink in the preferences so that the cursor is
always visible, it will always generate the pixeldirt.
