    Another approach:
    When doing Save-as, the user is presented with the option of rejecting
    revisions for the copy being saved. The revisions will remain in the
    working copy and the working copy is NOT marked as saved (the asterisk in
    the title bar is NOT removed) until the user saves WITH revisions (or
    rejects them).

    Yet another idea:
    Don't call what I suggested 'Save-as'. Call it 'export'. The user is
    exporting a version of the document with a (possibly empty or equal to the
    whole set) subset of the revisions.
