Fixes numerous invalid free errors (from blocks already freed).
<strongbad>Lots of crap</strongbad> from this redundant call since it is
done in the xp code now. In fact, the reason I didn't do this earlier, I
couldnt run abi until I commented this call, and didnt realize that it was
still there in cvs until I did a working directory cleanup just recently.
