libwpd 0.5.0 and wpd2sxw 0.4.0 released
We are pleased to announce the release of libwpd 0.5.0. This
release's focus is on "the details", rather than big picture items
like tables or lists (although footnotes and endnotes did sneak into
our supported features list!). See the change log (below) for a summary.
We would like to thank everyone who sent in documents for testing
and most especially those who sent in patches for this
release.

libwpd is a library designed to help in the process of interpreting
WordPerfect documents. It is focused on the needs of next-generation
word processors (such as AbiWord and OpenOffice.org's OpenWriter).
libwpd is used in the development versions of AbiWord (what will become
AbiWord 2.0). A stand-alone utility based on libwpd, wpd2sxw, is
available now for converting WordPerfect documents to OpenOffice.org's
XML-based file format (watch for an easily installable OpenOffice.org
filter component soon).
