I'm still not sure that this is a problem with
compiling the hash files. In short, we don't compile
the dictionaries. The .hash files that we have in
AbiWord 2.0 are identical to the ones from AbiWord
1.0, which means that if something no longer works,
it's a code regression and not a regression with a
"dictionary compiler".

We don't build the hash files, nor should we. AbiSpell
contains only those files needed to make the
spellcheckers work - i.e. the hash files. This is a
convenience for our users and nothing more.
