Currently, I use a RedHat 8.0 Linux installation, with a very old version
of AbiWord.
My brief attempt to upgrade to AbiWord 2.0.1 failed as follows.
1. I found no RH 8.0 RPM, so I downloaded abiword-2.0.1-1.Fedora.src.rpm
2. rpmbuild -v --rebuild abiword-2.0.1-1.Fedora.src.rpm
yielded the following:
Installing abiword-2.0.1-1.Fedora.src.rpm
warning: user uwog does not exist - using root
warning: group uwog does not exist - using root
warning: user uwog does not exist - using root

error: Failed build dependencies:

libbonobo-devel >= 2.2.0 is needed by abiword-2.0.1-1
libgnomeui-devel >= 2.2.0 is needed by abiword-2.0.1-1
libgnomeprint22-devel >= 2.2.0 is needed by abiword-2.0.1-1
libgnomeprintui22-devel >= 2.2.0 is needed by abiword-2.0.1-1
My versions are:
fontconfig-devel-2.0-3
libbonobo-devel-2.0.0-4
libgnomeui-devel-2.0.3-3
libgnomeprint-devel-1.116.0-2
libgnomeprintui-devel-1.116.0-1
Any suggestions?
