I was going to say that. I've contributed a few hundred gradients and
patterns to OpenClipart.org myself and they are a nice group of people
although things are a little shakey as the project is relatively new.

Now that there is a project focussed on Free Vector Clipart it doesn't
make sense for Abiword to maintian a seperate collection, although it
would be nice if distributions would start shipping the OpenClipart.org
Library (but they aren't providing packages beyond tar.gz which probably
doesn't help).

If you have problems with OpenClipart.org, like the requirement to put
your artwork in the public domain under a Creative Commons License then it
might be possible to work something out but it is vastly more convenient
for everyone if we work with established projects.

Thanks for your offer, we would want any clipart to be in Scalable
Vector Graphics (SVG) format preferably without any Adobe extensions
(there are many export options buried in Illustrator but it is possible to
produce something very close to standard SVG although things like mesh
grids get lost and converted to flat PNG unfortunately).

I've used the PNG clipart for Abiword on both Linux and Windows. I dont
recally using SVG clipart with abiword but if it does not already work I
expect the SVG plugin will become available for more platforms.

Thanks for using Abiword.
