Hello Alful,
            I think you will have to compile it yourself. I'm not familiar
with Mandrake 9.1 so I'm not sure whether all the required
libraries are present in the distro...

Try this and every time you find you are missing a library, install the
required rpm and try again..

Download the abiword source tarball and put it /usr/local/src

tar zxvf abiword-2.2.1.tar.gz
cd abiword-2.2.1
cd abi
./configure
make
make install

and if it all works you'll have a working abiword program in /usr/local/bin
