I have created a small update which changes the UT_Strings to UT_ByteBufs
as Hubert suggested. If anyone is interested, I can post it. It works Ok,
but it does make the code rather less readable and requires some
unpleasant casts. It seems that while UT_ByteBuf is a possible alternative
for UT_String in this case, it lacks the finesse of the string class.
