I'd say don't hesitate to just copy the whole filter directory to a
new name and start over.
SXW won't gain much significance now that OOo is about to switch and
always taking care not to break things just makes it harder/less
clean/take longer. IMO it's better to have a clean design from the
beginning and have the code do one thing right.
