Deleted abiword (using the recommended "package remove abiword") and
reinstalled--same result, splash screen appears briefly, then nothing.
(The package I presumably removed might have included parts of 2.1.9 which I
installed yesterday and the 2.3.99 I installed a few hours ago.)
