but the important detail seems to be "AmigaOS4 using Cygnix"

A little bit more searching reveals that Cygnix is
"CYGnus pseudo-uNIX" a compatibility layer based on Cygwin, which I belive
includes X11.

Presumably this makes Cygwin support a lot easier.
