Error linking plugins.

hi everyone,
             After doing a complete clean checkout of abiword-plugins,
then ./nextgen.sh then,

./configure --with-abiword=../abi-unstable --prefix=/home/msevior/abidir
--disable-all --enable-abicollab --enable-abimathview
--enable-abicommand --enable-olpctoolbar --enable-debug
--enable-libabiword

then
make install

I get the following link error:

2.0 -ldl -lglib-2.0
grep: /usr/lib/libidn.la: No such file or directory
/bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/libidn.la: No such file or directory
libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libidn.la' is not a valid libtool archive
make[3]: *** [libWpAp_unix_collab.la] Error 1
make

This libidn.la is apparently generated with libtool. This machine has
FC-6.

Any ideas?
