I'm not absolutely sure it would be an enhancement. With the current
version it is possible to easily add related equations at various places
without closing and reopening the dialog. Otherwise, you can also ensure
that the edited equation is always the same as it currently works for
charts (an other embedded objects). I'm not in favor of a modal dialog.
