I suppose that it simply uses the codepage currently set on the computer.

Is this still so with XP, for example? Word can save .wri files as well.

Yes, you are right, though your comment in ie_imp_MSWrite.h tells something
different and I relied on that. ;-) (Would have been much easier if 0, 1, 2
were assigned to 1250, 1251, 1252, wouldn't it?)

Ok, except for _strcmpi (not available on Linux) no further objections.
