I agree to both Keith and Alex. I guess it won't harm fixing with the
patch as a work-around, till the glib issue is sorted out. Alex, in
the mean time, please consider contributing your fix to the glib as
well, as Keith suggested, if possible. It would really help a lot of
projects.

So for now, I am applying this patch/work-around to trunk, considering
its usage to AbiWord as a project.
