Kevin,

I think you will find that extreme rudeness is just his style, but not
one common to other members of the AbiWord community. When I joined
the abiword-dev list to offer collaboration on L10n, Urmas was
similarly rude and dismissive of my ideas or those of others.

I'm not a developer, and can't really comment on the feasibility or
advisability of what you suggest, but I would urge you to keep on
discussing your ideas with those who are interested and capable civil
discourse and not allow one person to sidetrack the exploration or
your ideas.
