Yes.

Actually, it uses the OS_ARCH variable to set the flags (in this case,
I replaced "-mno-486 -Di386" with -O2). It should be automatic,
just like the OS selection logic. I'll send the diff in a separate message &
and let you decide how to proceed. :-)

It says:

egcs-2.90.25 980302 (egcs-1.0.2 prerelease)

This is the standard compiler for MkLinux; there's a wrapper involved
that makes it look like gcc/g++. This looks more like a conflict between
code & header to me... but any ideas are welcome.
