About time!!

So far, I haven't given the app much of a workout. But that should
change, soon!
Some things that had to be done to make it compile:

- Configure, compile and install wv separately from the general compile.

- Compile & install libpng and zlib separately using the standard
makefiles. (Not
the ones supplied for abiword, and it won't recognise the standard SGI
"freeware.sgi.com" installs)

once this was done, the general make and install, went off without a
hitch,
and I could then run abiword with "abiword -nosplash"

A couple of things to note:
In my shell, I get the following output, repeatedly..

Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkstyle.c: line 575: assertion `style->ref_count
> 0' failed.

Also, when opening the "print..." dialogue in the "file" menu,
the buttons and fields are cut off and badly layed out. The window isn't
opening large enough
to display all the buttons correctly. (easily fixed, but dragging the
window wider.)

Lastly, while compiling, I encountered very few compiler warnings...
(excellent!)
when I compile abiword at work, I'll see if they come up again, and I'll
post them.

Excellent work guys!!!
There will be a pile of happy SGI/Irix users out there!!!!

bob...
