AbiWord is great! I downloaded it some time ago and I've been using it. I
like your idea about free software.
However, it does not seem to open MS Word97 documents or any MS Word
documents for that matter. Is this a documented (no pun intended) bug? Even
my old MS Word 6.0 documents cannot be read. It cannot open anything with a
.DOC extension for that matter.
What now? Are there any patches?
