unable to load X fonts on Red Hat 6.0 systems

As of 0.7.0, some RedHat 6.0 users were unable to start AbiWord due to the
inability to find the Helvetica font. Since 0.7.1, we have no more reports
of this behavior. Since we were never able to reproduce it, I can't really
be sure it is dead, but it looks like it.

Let me know if anyone out there believes otherwise.
