Suggestion - mailing list for new releases only

I've downloaded three versions of AbiWord and have seen significant
progress between versions. It's just about to pass from the "Download
it and make it to see if it's useable" state to the "Start using it to
see what it's like" state. It's clearly still work in progress, but is
now probably the best of the OpenSource WYSIWYG Wordprocessors, though
obviously miles from the maturity of TeX/LaTeX/LyX.

It would be handy if there was a low volume mailing list for the
average punter like me who wants to download and use AbiWord each time
a new snapshot is released, but whose input is likely to be limited to
reporting bugs/useability issues. I would join it.

BTW, having all the document markup in plain text is excellent. This
way it is possible to sensibly hold documentation in RCS/CVS, a point
which you don't plug enough.
