Our makefiles (abi/src/require/unix/Makefile, specifically) executes
"glib-config --version" to find out if you've got glib hanging
around. It does a similar thing for gtk ("gtk-config --version").
Make sure that glib-config is in your path (it should probably
be in /usr/local/bin if you installed glib from source yourself,
and probably in /usr/bin if you installed from RPM).
