AbiSource Projects
Besides for its flagship product AbiWord, the AbiSource community is responsible for many more projects. This page list various projects the AbiSource community has created, some of which are hosted here, and some of which are hosted elsewhere.
- Enchant
- Enchant is a new cross-platform abstract layer to spellchecking. Enchant has been proposed to be a Freedesktop.org standard.
- libcrossmark (unmaintained)
- Generic crossmark library, initially developed for the OLPC project
- libshoes
- A simple, portable C/C++ SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 client library.
- libstylus (unmaintained)
- Generic ink support library for GTK+ applications
- libwpd
- libwpd is a general purpose library for reading (or, interpreting data from) WordPerfect files. It is currently used by AbiWord as well as OpenOffice.org.
- wvWare
- wv is a library which allows access to Microsoft Word files. It can load and parse Word 2000, 97, 95 and 6 file formats (these are the file formats known internally as Word 9, 8, 7 and 6). The latest releases can be found here at AbiSource. Old project pages for historical reference can still be found at SourceForce.
- Link Grammar
- Link Grammar is a grammar checker developed by Davy Temperley, John Lafferty and Daniel Sleator.
