Well, I just wanted to chime in that I have actually written a DocBook
exporter for AbiWord. I actually wrote it about the same time as the
LaTeX exporter was written, but it was never integrated, as AbiWord
doesn't have much semantic markup.
The patch was written in January, so it may not apply properly. However,
if people want to go this route, I have attched the files, and can update
them if neccessary.
Additionally, adding the style support that this would require (which
isn't in my patch) would go most of the way toward adding the last lacking
feature of the HTML exporter, which is custom style support.
