I know of no such plans, but I'm kind of out of the loop on AbiWord these
days. Bob took off for a bridge tourney Tuesday and asked me to aim for
a release Thursday. Because of problems unrelated to the code base, I
don't think I'll make it today. I'll be out of the office tomorrow, so chances
aren't good for making this week. I think we just aimed for this week since
it's been about 8 weeks since the last release, and we like to hit a 4-8
week release cycle on binaries.

Which features are almost completed and ready for commit, barring any
upcoming releases?
