AW determines locale of course by looking at the LANG variable.
For LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R it looks in the following subdirectories of the
${prefix}/fonts/:

KOI8-R

so you should put the fonts to the directory that is most appropriate. You
shouldn't hack fonts.dir in the ${prefix}/fonts/ at all.
If Thai language has only one charset, then it seems the most optimal way to
put fonts to the subdirectory named after languge code for Thai.
Also, could you also check importing/exporting of .doc and .rtf files with
Thai in them - i.e. how well AW can understand .doc and .rtf saved by Word,
and how well Word understands .rtf files produced by AW? If there are some
flaws, a couple of entries to the tables in XAP_EncodingManager.cpp should be
added/corrected and everything for everything to work. So your help would be
very appreciated.
