I wouldn't object, so long as I could ingnore it and continue to use
PS. But, I wonder about the utility of this. Since almost everything on
un*x uses postscript to print, everyone has their setup working on the
assumption that programs output PS. My printer doesn't know PS from a
hole in the ground, but it'd be a pain to use anything else, because I'm
used to it. I could understand using the GNOME canvas and the GNOME
printing architecture, but I don't really see the utility in this; maybe
I'm missing something, though.

(In case anyone's wondering, I'm still planning on hacking emacs-style
latin character composition when midterms are done; my fingers keep trying
to type for emacs, but I don't have time to accomodate them yet; :)
