As far as I'm concerned, a good Mac app shouldn't even need an
installer. I hate installers that throw garbage throughout my system.
Simply dragging the layout directory is all a good Mac App should ever
need. It's far more intuitive to the user. They know EXACTLY what they
did to install a program. "Deinstalling" consists simply of dragging the
layout folder to the trash. The near requirement of uninstallers on
Windows is insane. Of course, this doesn't hold if there are specific
shared libraries which must be installed in the system folder, like
AppearanceLib, NavigationLib, or CarbonLib if the app needs them and they
don't exist yet and require their functionality).
