Given that this was so easy :-) I wonder if a similar option could be
applied to the other key you mentioned - the insert key. I would be very
happy if it could just be turned off - permanently. I have never found it
useful, and cannot count the number of times I have accidentally hit it.
If people don't object, I'll look at Paul's patch and make this happen.
