The old "clearArea() from begining of line" added half a ColumnGap before and a half efter, just like clearing a full line. This is now only half a ColumnGap before.

This remove one place of stange "holes" left in text after removing a selection. I found this when looking for "Bug #714, page fault when Ctrl-Backspace and Ctrl-Del'ing first word in a paragraph". It does nothing for that bug, sorry.
