I'm not going to invalidate anything when I get the better acessor
functions written. It will just make it lots cleaner to manipulate the
state of the formatting. But it won't break anything that works
currently, and probably shouln't have much impact on the line calculations
you are talking about. In short, go for it.
It's exciting to see so many different people coding major improvements in
AbiWord at once.
