Gnome print has a *lot* of advantages over our PS generation. Some include PDF, Print Preview, better printer support, smaller PS size, better looking output.

The downside is that it does not handle some locales/fonts well at all at the moment, which we handle extremely well in our PS Generation code.

The code to do this in our PSGraphics/PSGenerate classes seems fairly straightforward. What I'm wondering is: why help just ourselves by coding some hack into our menus/build system when we can submit a patch to the Gnome-Print folks so that all gnome apps will have access to? The second clearly seems preferable.

Anyway, our next release won't be for a little while still. Maybe GP will fix their issues by then. Maybe we'll fix it for them. Applying this kind of patch now is a mistake. That is my final opinion. I will re-evaluate my opinion if the need arises when we near our next release. Until then, I'm decidedly against this.
